The home is located on the west side of the lake located 6 miles from the village of Cooperstown on a private road. The village is a short 10 minute drive. This immaculate log home was newly constructed in 2012 and has since been used as a seasonal residence by our family. The house is full of custom features throughout making this a truly one of a kind rental. We are asking for a minimum of 4 nights Rental for the Hall of Fame weekend. This single level home opens to a spacious wrap-around deck from which to enjoy blissful lakefront dining, grilling, sunbathing, and the ultimate in relaxation!! The deck was designed with children in mind with 3 gates to keep youngsters away from all water access points. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials to create delicious family feasts. We love our sweet kitchen with antique sink and soapstone counters, propane gas range, and pantry refrigerator/freezer, and we think you will too! A new weber grill is yours to use throughout your stay. Three bedrooms each with queen beds (one is a futon) provide comfortable sleeping for 6 guests.Two of the bedrooms are connected which requires walking through one to access the farthest away. Our snug cottage has a freshly remodeled bathroom, new cheery paint, and parking for up to 4 cars across the street, roadside. There are 2 kayaks for your personal use and a dock which will readily accommodate up to a 24 foot boat. All bed linens and towels are provided, but you may wish to bring your own beach towels. WIFI and cable are provided for your convenience. Summer Breeze is 5.5 miles north of the village of Cooperstown, 10.5 miles from the Dreams Park ball fields, and a 45 minute drive to the All-Star Village. *Two pull out twin sofa beds are available, if needed. *No dishwasher or AC. Otsego Lake is a natural glacier lake. When you look out over the water at Sleeping Lion Mountain you will find its beauty hard to put into words. Unit 1 and 2 each have: A Queen size bed area. A sitting lounge area to watch the flat screen TV/DVD. A sun room with twin bed A private deck overlooking the lake A kitchenette very adequately equipped to cook a meal A bathroom Each unit has at least one queen-size bed, with unit but units 1,2 and 3 have an additional twin in the sunroom. Every unit has lakeside view. Four units have sunrooms looking over the lake. Cooperstown is only 6 miles away. We are in the heart of antique country so leave plenty of room for what you collect. Our cottage was built in the 1940's in the style of the Arts and Crafts movement. It provides a lovely rustic summer experience with a fully furnished kitchen, full bath, 2 bedrooms upstairs, living room with comfortable furniture, and eating porch with a futon couch that can be a double bed. great for spending a day reading and watching the lake. Great views, lake access, kayaks and canoe are available for your boating and life jackets in all sizes, swimming all at your leisure. Private, quiet nice neighbors. Driveway with parking area right by entrance door. A short walkway down to the waters edge with a swimming at our private lake front. Charcoal grill and charcoal. If you are involved with Baseball Camps Dream Parks etc we are about 20 minutes away. We are 6.3 miles from the town center of Cooperstown which is about 5 miles North of Dreams Park. It takes about 20 minutes to go from Baseball Parks to our cottage. There is very little traffic on our roads and you do not have to drive down the main street in Cooperstown to get to the baseball parks. The cottage is a place for folks who enjoy the country and the lake. If your children are in the baseball camps then you can spend quality time on the lake while they are enjoying the competition. The cottage is a testament to the craftsmanship of an earlier time. It has real wood floors, screened in porch and a beautiful view of the lake below.
